National Treasure Matsue Castle
Matsue Castle is one of the 12 existing castle towers in Japan and known as "Chidori Castle.” The castle was designated as the national treasure in July 2015.
From the watchtower on the top floor, you can see a spectacular view of Matsue City and Lake Shinji. Jozan Park has walking paths to enjoy pine trees, bamboo groves, cherry blossoms, camellias, plum trees, etc.
and is a civil place for relaxation. You can hear unknown episodes of the castle during visiting the park around with a guide. The top floor of the castle tower has railings and a wall-less watchtower to provide a spectacular view of the Matsue cityscape.
